Are Linux builds busted again?

Post by Pim »

My nightly hasn't shown any updates for a week, so I checked the site

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... k/?C=M;O=D

and indeed, the Linux nightly hasn't been built since 26-07. The Mac and Win versions are all right.
Does anybody know anything about this? Is this the same problem as described in that thread over there, now locked?

Edit: I see the 2.21 Aurora was compiled today, and the 2.20 candidate was compiled on 30-07, so it's just the 2.22 nightly.

The SeaMonkey tinderboxes are still not running yet, thus hard to tell. Thunderbird builds are completely busted right now for all platforms, so that seems to be an unrelated regression.

BTW: The x86_64 builds being broken is a different issue and has been there for quite a while. That will be solved when new builders arrive running CentOS 6.3 instead of the older OS on the current builders which are missing respective library updates.

Per feedback from today's status meeting, the Linux issues should be fixed with an upgrade of the builders to the new operating system. There was a workaround for 32-bit builds which apparently broke as well, and some library upgrade missing according to the logs.

Since there was merge day yesterday, the aurora builds are now unfortunately broken as well, thus no nightlies there either. Windows and Mac have been busted since August 3 too, but for a different reason.

The good news, the new SeaMonkey tinderboxes at http://tbpl-dev.callek.net/ now work properly, thus one can check the progress of the builders and the logs again. 8-)

And it works! There's a new nightly build, and "Check For Updates" picks it up. Yes.
