However, Firefox 79 was released some time ago... are there any security fixes from versions after Firefox 77?

(I wouldn't know, but I'd say, you take what has been given & be thankful
![]() Not everything from Quantum will be applicable to SeaMonkey. And maybe ? there simply are more security fixes needing porting that simply haven't been gotten to yet?) Fire 750, bring back 250.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript
That's the main reason I hear when people try to dissuade me from relying on SeaMonkey. . . . . . . . . . . Pete
Nothing to do with dissuading.
Only stating a possibility of what might be. Look how long it took between 2.49.4 & 2.53.1. (>1 year) And you think that nothing happened between? Things are happening quicker, now. (We were far worse off then, then we are now, if you want to look at it that way.) And there are the even more current builds, that will have additional fixes in them. But with them, you might have to accept an odd issue here & there, maybe. Fire 750, bring back 250.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript I/we usually pick the ones from the ESR branches. It is current. I have one more for the final 2.53.4
There are still some outstanding fixes from the ESR 60 and 68 level but all the big ones are in. I am also checking the Waterfox patch queue to see if we missed something. All that apply are in. With multiprocess Firefox and Chrome are, in theory, more secure. In practice what they did especially to local file access and Fx with XUL add-ons has serious usability issues so personally I don't care. can't even set the bookmarks.html as homepage in Fx any longer. Make sure your antivirus is recent and use uBlock plus Noscript and there is not much you have to fear unless you like to click on mail attachments from bogus senders. Uninstall Flash too. Piece of junk. FRG
Yes, I have uBlock, but I believe this is the first I've heard of Noscript. Any details you can provide as they relate to SeaMonkey would be appreciated...e.g. get it where, how to incorporate it, etc. Thank you, as always. . . . . . . . . . . Pete
They are not on AMO (removed SeaMonkey add-ons) or ATN (addons.thunderbird.net), but they can be found on their official pages. (For uBlock Origin, it is on GitHub.)

So, is there a particular version of Noscript for SeaMonkey? And is there a particular install sequence so that Noscript becomes incorporated into SeaMonkey?
. . . . . . . . . . Pete
The XUL version of NoScript should still be on their website. SeaMonkey does not currently support WebExtensions, I think. (even in 2.49.x and 2.53.x)

therube, SM had to set up its own servers, rebuild the destroyed modules that Mozilla excised from their shared code, all while maintaining XUL. I say good job. Nick -N- Quis custodiet ipsos custodes

the only version of Noscript that works with on SM 2.49.x & 2.53.x is v5.1.9 (aka. Noscript Classic), which was released almost 2 years ago listed on this Noscript page
speaking of Flash, that will be put out of its misery by the end of year 2020 as Adobe will drop all support for it, frg and I hope there's an SM 2.57 version being developed that has some Webextension support by then (try to pick up the pace for this one). by this autumn/fall season, I may be ditching the SM 2.53.x versions for good and will use the unofficial SM 2.57.x versions on all my PCs
