I like it a lot. The only thing I would change is to not make the tabs float, but keep them attached like before.
Do, or do not. There is no try.

But Australis and Photon were MAJOR UI changes. This isn't that big, and even compact mode will still be around for existing users (or those using about:config). And userchrome is still there too.

But they weren't attached to the website, only the toolbar.

Floating to me means they are moving around like clouds in the sky, so I think you mean unattached.

Note that "Density: Compact" is behind this pref: browser.compactmode.show = true

My only complaint is that compact is not very compact. The bookmark menu spacing is excessive or am I missing a pref for that?

This shoud attatch the tabs and square them:

Code: Select all

:root {
	 --tab-border-radius: 0px !important;
	 --proton-tab-block-margin: 0px !important;
}

Disabled proton - the new tabs design is a step back - ugly and unconvenient. Hope previous tabs will stay untouched.

If you want to customize your toolbar in Firefox Proton simply go to the three lines in the upper right corner select it>more tools> customize toolbar or you can right click on the upper half of Firefox and select customize toolbar.
