google - previous searches in dropdown menu

Although I have checked all appropriate boxes in ff 3.5 Google will not list / display previous searches. Was working fine until a week or two ago. Any suggestions.

Right mouse click on the little triangle to the right of the name Google when showing in the tool bar search window.
There should be a drop down menu with a section labeled "show suggestions" see if that turns it on or off.

Make sure that you do not use Tools > Options > Privacy : History: Clear history when Firefox closes > Setting: "Form & Search History"
To see all the History and Cookie options, select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
