Using Firefox 2.020 - and I don't want to upgrade because I have continually upgraded in the past and the newer version do not play well with my system - but I found that 2.0 is the best for me.

In any event, using firefox, each time I use google or yahoo for searches - each time I click on a search listing, it comes up with a spam redirected site. I have tried the program Hijack This and could not seem to get rid of it. I have installed some demo and freeware in the past, guessing it was part of that - but I can't see anything in the add/remove programs AND there are no overt toolbars in my browswer. Any ideas or solutions to this?

Thanks in advance.

You can try the following...
Install and run these programs.

Super AntiSpyware > http://www.superantispyware.com/
Ad-Aware > http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Once you get your system cleaned up, you may want to reconsider. Fx 2.0.0.20 has over ten months of unpatched vulnerabilities, which may have contributed to the problems you're having now. Give Fx 3.5.5 a try. The vast majority of us have had no problem using it, and we're here to help if it doesn't work well for you.
