Link to firefox project page
Small nitpick: I always find it a little bit hard to find the firefox project page (not product). You can get there via homepage -> products -> firefox -> project information, but it can't be found if you go homepage -> projects.
Solution: add a link to the firefox project page in the list at the projects page

Great new design, just one point really:
There's a link on this page:
http://website-beta.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
"Other Systems and Languages", which takes you here:
http://website-beta.mozilla.org/product ... /#download
Using the # link to an anchor in the middle of another page doesn't work well (I somehow got stuck at the top of the page and had to try again, despite a fast CPU and Internet link).
The wording of the content in question also doesn't match the simplicity of the main product page:
"mozilla.org provides Firefox binaries for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X."
- just changing "binaries" to "downloads" might help.
Also the localised builds are missing from that page.
How about a dedicated page for the download options, using dropdowns to select the language and platform? Or take the content from the box on the old page but using the space on a dedicated page, lay it out more clearly (e.g. another level of bullet points, or a neat table).

Firefox product page - it needs a screenshot. A good place would be right above "Support Our Work", IMO, or maybe to the left of the "Download Now!" box.

Colors
Hi,
It's a pretty good design. The only thing I would add change is background color of headings like "Latest from Mozilla","Mozila 1.7" and "technology preview", because these are things that an average user is usually looking for. Now my eyes are far more attracted by photos of Mozilla T-shirts and donations.
When user comes, he should see at first glance "Oh there's a new version of Mozilla, and there's also some critical bug found & fixed in the previous version. Oh man I should donate these guys some penny." Simply said, it's more polite to ask money after we see what you have done

The products page definitely "sells" mozilla. I would seriously consider making this the main page! Simplistic, straightforward and it looks damn good. Excellent job!

Here is an article that has a lot of good ideas:
http://www.andkon.com/stuf/mozillanewstrategy/
And in case anyone misses it, it has a design : http://www.andkon.com/stuf/mozillanewstrategy/design/
HOWEVER, the design is a mockup, ONLY showing the functions of a future site. Read the essay before the design.

So, what about Section called ADD-ONS with Links for popular plugins (Java, Flash, WMP etc.) and links to Extensions/Themes (update.mozilla.org) on the FRONT page as opposed to inside pages where it is easer to get lost... As customization/extensibility is one of Mozilla Foundation's software strongest points
I proposed a similar idea with http://www.andkon.com/stuf/mozillanewstrategy/
Scroll down to the heading "Pillar #2: Customization"

Mozilla logo font: please get back to the old one
As you're restiling the sity, I think you would restore the old "Mozilla" font. It was very nice and cool. the present one is very anonymizing. The old font name was "revolution", ask Dawn Endico about it.
This is the font I refer to:
http://www.mozilla.org/ports/beos/snap/s6_m11.jpg
See, it's just better recognizable. Now there is a lot of confusion about the font to be used, and the one appearing in the main site is not very appealing. Give us back the old good Mozilla font, thanks!

If you want a (an easy) way to even use this on-the-fly (with headings and such) here's a good article on using PHP to do it (though you could use PERL or other server-side scripting language):Carcarlo wrote:As you're restiling the sity, I think you would restore the old "Mozilla" font. I have a found a bug. You can see it on
<a href="http://website-beta.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird.html">http://website-beta.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird.html</a> or <a href="http://website-beta.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/bugs.html">http://website-beta.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/bugs.html</a>
In the beta code, the footer overlaps our left-side menu. On the current mozilla.org page, I managed to workaround this by inserting an additional </div> at the end of the document. This doesn't seem to work on the beta website anymore. I tried to remove the additional </div> to see if that would make any difference, but it doesn't.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

I haven't tested this, because the site had about five stylesheets associated with it, and I couldn't find out where to place the rule.
Anyway, I think a clear:both; for the footer should do the trick.
EDIT: Apparently not. I tested it on the right div (I think), and it didn't work...
