Streaming video files

Currently when I click on an mpeg file phoenix downloads it first before opening it with windows media player. Is it possible to have phoenix forward the url to WMP instead of trying to download the file?

If it is not possible to do it by file type is it possible to add an item to the right mouse button context menu - 'play media url' ?

I've been trying to figure out how to do either of these things without much luck, anyone have any ideas.

I'm running on windows XP with media player 8.0.
