Using a custom icon for Phoenix

Post by daihard »

I have a very nice set of Phoenix icons thanks to the Noia icon theme. I'd like to use it all across Phoniex; that is, I'd like it to show up on the top left corner of the Phoenix window, which now has a standard "X" icon. Is it possible to replace it? The same thing for the minimised icon, which currently is also "X". I realise that there will be a name change, but I'd like to use this icon set 'cause they look sooooo nice!

Thanks,
Dai

you need an icons directory

for example if phoenix directory is: [ madly assuming another Linux user ]

/usr/local/phoenix

then under /usr/local/phoenix/chrome, do:

mkdir -p icons/default/

here you need main-window.xpm, 16x16 otherwise it gives you 32x32 scaled to 16x16

Thanks a lot, it worked like a charm! Yes, I am another Linux user, so your instructions made perfect sense. :)
