In Chimera you had the option of an external link opening in a new tab, but I can't seem to get this behaviour to work on Phoenix on Windows. When I click on a link in say Outlook express, it loads the page on the forefront tab, I'd like it to open a new tab and load the page.
Is this possible by editing prefs.js? Because I couldn't get it to work with the tab extensions installed.
Thanks.

There's a RFE filed for this:
Bug 172962 - Option to determine how other applications open new windows
Until this is available on an application level, there's a workaround if you're using the Tabbrowser Extensions. Set it to Single Window Mode and add the following to user.js:
user_pref("advanced.system.supportDDEExec", false);
