You don't think there's a teeny chance it might get confused with Pegasus, which is a flying horse and a popular email client?

That wasn't a problem with Phoenix. There's a mail program called Phoenix Mail that's also reasonably popular. I used it for quite a while.

A great project like Phoenix need at least the .org extension.
It doesn't have it now...

yes. plz, someone (asa, kerz, blake?) make this distiction by posting or locking, because i doubt anyone will pay attention
unfortunately. there is a thread specifically for suggesting new names and talking about them, and this one isn't it.
there really is a different thread for posting new name suggestions, guys. try it out. this thread is for arias and whether you like it, don't like it, and why.

The name should be changed to the variant spelling of Phoenix --> Phenix.

I feel so welcomed.
My opinion is worthless because I just joined this forum.

sorry, but it's hard to move forward if you have to keep bringing everyone else up to speed. sometimes it gets a bit frustrating.

perhaps it was another thread, then. i can't find it right now, and i refuse to search through 60+ pages of posts for the one i'm lookin for, but someone (blake?) has already stated that a changing of the spelling is insufficient. phenix, fenix, fenux, yacht, etc. will not cut it.

You are welcome. But for everybody's sake, please at least skim through the name suggestions before posting. It has been said several times that just a change of spelling is not enough.

I don't like Arias. It's clean and lifeless. It's like all these new companies that are making names (often with "a's" or "v's"
I.E.
Accenture,
Acloche',
Adecco,
Adeptra,
Adexis,
Agilent,
Verizon,
Versitech and
Visteon.
accenture
Icky trend

It seems to mean that you haven't read the thread, as that's been suggested at least 20 times, literally.
