Pegasus has a loyal following. I've been using it on the Microsoft Windows platform since 1998.

I see. But the full product name is "Pegasus Mail". And the contraction is "pmail" as in www.pmail.com

It seems very different than "Pegais" !

I'm french so I have little idea about the pronunciation of this word in english. Is there a problem on this point ?

New name

Post by ph »

It's addressed mainly to the authors of Phoenix. I can't send e-mail because it's blocked by mozilla.org.

1.I suggest call this browser "Rukh".
It's a giant bird from Sindbad tales.
It's short and remarkable name. It sounds slightly aggressive.
I wait for the Phoenix v 0.5 (or RUKH v 0.5) with a great impatience.

2.I hope the TabExtension would work in the next versions or the main features of it (tabs at bottom, possibility to open tab in new window, homepage for new tab) will realised in Phoenix itself. It's extremely necessary possibilities for practical work in Internet.

P.S. Sorry for bad English.

Rukh is normally Roc in English. I like it, I was sure someone else had suggested it. it goes well with Thunderbird too.

A little heavy for the Phoenix browser ?

The Rukh of legend is an enormous eagle-like bird capable of lifting an elephant in it's talons

Rukh

Post by ph »

1.The redirection of rukh.org to ebay does not mean it's registered to smth.
2.Rukh is the original name of the "Roc" as far as I understand.
3.The Phoenix is small but strong. It seems to be more powerfull than the IE developed by the giant M$ team. Phoenix IS giant. I do not see the problem to call it Rukh.

P.S. The "Phoenix" bird is not as small as Colibri too.
P.P.S The Rukh is smaller than Mozilla or Gozilla.

https://www.gandi.net/whois?l=FR&domain=rukh.org&=Whois

https://www.gandi.net/whois?l=FR&domain=rukh.com&=Whois

It will not be very easy to get these domains ...

Rukh

So the domains rukh.org and rukh.com are reistered by different organizations. I sounds great. I think nobody of them is registered "Rukh" as a trademark or something like this. As for domain name the phoenix existed well without it. It's possible to use .info, .ru or .gov ;-)

He probably misread the instructions when he added his avatar. IIRC it says "not greater than 80x80", not "greater than 800x800". :D
