Is anyone else experiencing a constantly recurring "Runtime Error.
It has gotten to the point that I am giving up using Firefox out of sheer frustration.
This is really very sad since since I actually prefer Firefox as my browser of choice ...but lately Firefox crashes predictably every 10 minutes or so and nothing that I have done seems to help including reinstalling Firefox and running it WITHOUT any extensions at all!
Just wondering if any one else is having a similar problem... and if so do you have any solution?

Re: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error!
The dialogue box was called:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
Text inside the dialog box was:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
abnormal program termination
OK

Re: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error!
Probably worth a shot starting Firefox's safe mode (should have an entry in Firefox's folder in the Start Menu) and disabling all extensions.
Also maybe try checking Windows Update for any updates.

Re: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error!
If in your uninstalling Firefox you also cleared out all of it's profile stuff then it sounds like you basically re-started with a new Firefox... assuming that you didn't re-install your old profile in any way. If that's the case then your might want to put this into Google search to see what you come up with... I received a ton of targets that spanned many more items than Firefox...
Also (and even though it sounds like you may have started clean) you might want to try this... and make no changes to it until you feel good about it.

I don't think this is Firefox. Possibly some junk that you have added onto Firefox, but I've never heard of Fx giving an error message that was labeled as MSVC.

Hi
I had this problem and found that disabling the Foxit Reader Pluglin for Mozilla 2.1.1.720 solved the problem.
From Firefox safe mode it was Tools menu then Add-ons
