GUEST :) wrote:The recommendation earlier for the infolister extension was a good suggestion, but I prefer ListZilla , especially while monkeying about with profiles, installing and uninstalling extensions. One of the options is to create an html file of extensions, which also acts as a list of links to the extension home pages.

Actually, Infolister does indeed allow you to output an html file. I prefer infolister over listzilla b/c infolister also has an optional toolbar button that you can use for quick access.

If that's what fixed the problem, then I'd bet it's the video card. Maybe windows classic uses less video card RAM... who know. Video cards are cheap. I've got a a GeForce 4 64MB I'd be willing to get rid of.

Yeah. I hate to think there could be anything "wrong" with my computer.
Like you folks I'm sure, I try and keep it clean and pristine.
However, things do go awry or, perhaps in the case of my
Dell factory installed nVidia card, are simply "not up to the task".

A new Video Card? I'm thinking about it.

Price and Performance range?
From the XFXGeForce FX5200 @ $29.99
to the ATIX850XT @ $600
the choices are many.
(lol...now hold on, let's not turn this thread into a swap meet of Video Cards :p )

Since my troubles have been correctly attributed by RPGMaker35
to the fact that I had been in the Windows XP mode is anyone in that
mode right now using a low-end NVidia?
Willing to go there to see if you get that double image?
Just a thought.

btw...it was definitely the cause of my double image.
Everything's been sweet since going into Windows Classic mode.

It was the XP Style using the Silver Color Scheme.

And just to clarify for a new reader who might be confusing this terminology "Themes" with Firefox Themes and not Windows XP Display Properties Themes...

This is the mode I am in right now using the Firefox Silver Skin 2.6.4 Theme (for 1.0.1)....

Yeah, I anticipated that question might have been asked
more often but...

I just switched to SP2 about a week ago
(lol...that's another story why I waited since last summer).

I had the double image before with SP1
and had the double image after installing SP2

So, doesn't seem to have made a difference.

You can try playing aroung with your video card settings before you decide to invest in a new one- try rolling back the driver, the latest are not always the best, also see what other adjustments are available (depends on the card) some tweaking may solve it for you.
