Yes, undoubtedly one can copy and paste all of the tweaks -- they have certainly been discussed frequently enough on Mozilla sites. It was just SO easy to use Firetune and the thing worked nicely. This may mean that I don't have the "grit" to be a Firefox user. Hmmm.

Does anyone have anything to say about Firetune

would adding this to your config:
user_pref("content.interrupt.parsing", true);
user_pref("content.max.tokenizing.time", 2250000);
user_pref("content.notify.interval", 750000);
user_pref("content.notify.ontimer", true);
user_pref("content.switch.threshold", 750000);
user_pref("network.http.max-connections", 48 );
user_pref("network.http.max-connections-per-server", 16);
user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy", 16);
user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server", 8 );
user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay", 0);
on a 450-700mhz (2 different ones) computer (with broadband connection) work?

The latest Firetune use user_pref("network.http.pipelining.firstrequest", true);
Has been removed long ago it seems but one more to put in

The prefetch setting suppose to make Firefox launch faster but I could never tell.

Firetune
Firetune is Great!!!! I am running on Dsl connection and it really helped speed my firefox up.It does what it says + so far no adware or spyware showing up on my machine.No problems with it messing with my extensions.If you are just getting up to speed on Firefox or are to lazy like me to do it yourself then Firetune will help alot.
