German translation available?

Post by realmde »

Is a german translation available or may i volunteer? I really like Phoenix and think it is the best gekko based browser and i think it will replace opera on my desktop. Will try to use it in my company also but need a german version for this reason. Again many thanks for developing such a good piece of software.

Someone already volunteered for a German translation. You can contact him if you want to help.
See this page: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/l10n/mlp_otherproj.html
(David? I see a growing number of posts asking for localized versions of Phoenix. Seems like a good FAQ :)

Yes, it's me.
Give me some time. There are over 5000 strings to translate. And migrating from mozilla didn't work how I expected it. There are too many differnt strings.
Anyway, There will be a german-version very soon.

BTW: An UI to change the language in Phoenix would make things a lot easier.
