Instal Linux Pheonix

Using Pheonix on windows (great). I'm a newbe on linux, can handles binarys, RPMs etc.(just). Have unpacked on linux and works but I know haven't installed as I should (no correct shortcuts on D'top, Panel or Bar.

Installing Phoenix on linux consists of
1) Untarring into a directory

That's it. You then run the "phoenix" binary in that directory. It's not going to make desktop icons or anything for you.
