My understanding is that a name has been chosen.


Where does this "understanding" originate?

If that is the case they should lock all the name threads seeing as their pointless now.

i thought also a name was already chosen, but Blake replied somewhere that this is not the case. but this was yesterday. :)

Has Chameleon been used? It would fall in line with Phoenix's skinning ability. It also adds some name recognition with Chimera and the entire 'family' of lizard like browser names. Not to mention it would be great for custom logos...

K-Meleon is the name of the gecko-based browser for w32.
