yet another suggestion

Post by extremely »

How about Blazer? Implies fire, implies speed, implies dinner jackets... it has it all!

Or perhaps SkyFire, or Aurora? Gah, I just can't believe after 45 pages that I can't find something I like. I also can't believe I came out of a years-long lurk for this...

Ask yourself, would you be proud if you were using an internet browser called Monkee?

Please, can we stop the silly name suggestions and try to be a little serious about this for a change?

PIMP

Post by n00bian »

What about the idea with "Phoenix is not Unix"
but instead "Phoenix is not Phoenix"
short: PIMP

because after the change Phoenix is not Phoenix anymore :P

raptor is already taken. let's try not to keep repeating this. it's been brought up over and over again and over and over again people have to tell the poster this name is not available.

Dunno if this has already been suggested...

...as I am too slack to search the fora but the name Guerilla would work for me. It also contains the letters illa which, whilst being one letter short of zilla still has an element of Mozilla about it and thereby the right association and it's a slightly revolutionary browser. I can't be arsed to research any trademark conflicts so that is something that may affect this suggestion.

raptor must be the single most recommended name! interesting no? :)

i like "falcon"....

as far as names are concerned.. peopel are coming up with fairly esoteric names.. if this browser is meant to be for mass consumption.. it should have a simple name.. something that's easy to spell, easy to write, easy to search on google, easy to pronounce.
