A couple of days ago, my Malwarebytes Anti-Malware told me it had found malware. Looking at the quarantine, I saw it had removed everything related to the YouTube Unblocker extension.
I've been using it for awhile - and here in Germany it's quite helpful - so I restored the files. A couple of minutes ago, it happened again, so I decided to look into the topic. I found this.
http://www.ghacks.net/2016/03/03/beware ... blocklist/
I read it and decided to live without the extension. I also deleted the user.js file. So far, things seem normal.
I then searched for a replacement and found "ProxTube" on the official Firefox list. However, reading the user comments (many written in German), I saw that it also engages in some questionable practices.
The same is true for Anonymox.
I then found Proxy List Pro, which is signed, but listed as "preliminarily reviewed by Mozilla", although it was last updated in 2014!
What's going on here, please? I'll appreciate any input.
Thanks in advance.
