html file ?

Post by cowboy »

Wanting to email a html file to people, that when they open it it would work in any browser ?

Is that possible ?

The idea/reason is I often have several pages from different formats (txt, html, pdf...)
that I would like to send in one bundle v. multiple files.

ie. I might have a page or 2 of txt/html/pdf that I would bundle into one file that then could be opened/viewed.

Any ideas ?

You could probably email the file as an attachment with links but a bundle with files might be a bit much.
Most of this would depend on whether they open email and the attachment.
If you wanted it to open the email and attachment instantly they would have to open the email and allow attachments to be opened and viewed in-line.
These days most people wouldn't be that careless with all the nuiscance spammers and malware providers.
Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

Thanks,

the first step would be getting the various pages into an html file.

How would I go about that ?

One thing you might try is printing all of the elements to PDF files and consolidating them all into one PDF. There's a free trial version of Win2PDF that provides that functionality. http://www.win2pdf.com/index.html

That wouldn't give you an HTML file but PDF is pretty much universally viewable.

There were a few others ? are these two the best of the bunch ?

p.s. those 2 would accomplish what i want,...... be nice if there were a single one that would do both text/pdf :)

No expiration but while in trial mode it will add an extra page to the output, likely "advertising" the product.

Those 2 are both free but quite a few of the "others I found", were not, so yes, they will perform exactly as stated "on-the-tin."

As for performing multiple conversions....Nope.
Never seen one.
Just use whatever you need at the time.
They are all free.
