Multiple Firefox Accounts

Post by iancol »

Hi all,

I have a single Firefox "account", shared with my wife. There are hundreds of bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar, but only a few of them are used by both of us. I would like to use the Firefox.exe /f routine to be able to create and then choose either of two profiles, one for each of us, with tailored bookmarks.

At the moment, I use FEBE to back up bookmarks and back the result up to a separate hard drive, along with the Firefox profiles folder. Would I be able to restore individual sets of bookmarks and profiles, ie would my back up routines recognise individual "account" data or just deal with the last used "account"?

I hope this makes sense.

Think for yourself. Otherwise you have to believe what other people tell you.

Hi t,

Thanks for the extra info. I've already tested the instructions out on my laptop, which seems to have been a success, though I haven't yet tested the backup/restore functions yet.

Thanks again,

Ian
