I'm currently running 54.0. Since the prior update and 54.0 I'm getting a good bit of hitching and lag. I'm also getting Debug warnings when using Emoji's on Facebook. It's super lagging a hitchie when using Emoji's on Twitter as well. I've disabled AdBlocker (2.9.1) and Video Dlownloader.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

In safe mode Facebook is till lagging and hitching. I'm not getting the Bug Warning, but after using an Emoji the page gets super laggy. I've not created a new profile or have any particle profiles setup. These issues seemed to have started with the current and previous update.

Re: Hitching Lag & Debug ?
Could it be related to the location of the emoji? Local, off-site (imgur or other) or is it Facebook (site) located?

I'm not sure who host their Emoji's. I suppose I could find out, however it's kind of annoying to have them jack-up my browser. I don't use them often, but I do like to use them from time to time. You think its EmojiPedia? https://emojipedia.org/messenger/

More here > http://blog.emojipedia.org/new-emojis-n ... -facebook/Facebook's emoji picker doesn't show the new emojis yet.
Now that all 69 new emojis2 are available, at least for some users, it appears that a full release could be imminent.
At this stage, a new emoji can only be inserted using copy and paste from the web; as they do not show in Facebook's custom emoji picker.
