Yes.
If he knows where to look........&, he probably does.
You may like to try using a Master Password.

NOTE: ref the warning about saving your passwords if using a MP & you forget it.
This will help...

If the password vault is protected with a strong master password, is it possible to decrypt the vault? If so, how difficult is it to decrypt the FF password vault?

I take it that you are having 'hardware' work done on your system??? ... you might want to think about just backing up your Firefox profile and then removing it... that way... nothing is there for them to mess with...or just backup your password files and remove them?? Put everything on a thumb drive... and/or make more that one copy.

If the repair shop is after your passwords do not forget to wipe your drive after deleting the files. Deleting a file does not mean that the content is gone. Only the index was removed.
Think for yourself. Otherwise you have to believe what other people tell you.

mike821,
May I ask, what's the problem, if any, with the PC?
Just a thought here, but if "they" are a reputable firm, then surely, "they" would not
steal anyone's passwords.
Probably perform a heap/oodles of repairs etc., & are not going to
keep a list of everyone's passwords.
Check this KB article & the sections on "Troubleshooting" & "Backing up and restoring passwords."
You can copy, save the relevant files somewhere & then delete them.
Get the PC "serviced" &
add them back, later.

That would be wiping (cleaning) the free (slack) space of your drive, not the entire drive itself.trolly wrote:do not forget to wipe your drive after deleting the files
(And trying to recall, is that even effective on an SSD?)
Fire 750, bring back 250.

Ok, wiping the drive would be overkill. Some tools offer an “Erase file“ option.therube wrote:That would be wiping (cleaning) the free (slack) space of your drive, not the entire drive itself.trolly wrote:do not forget to wipe your drive after deleting the files

No experience with a SSD but I guess it is only bit more difficult to find the data.

Re: when i send pc for repair can they see my passwords?
my pc is currently working fine. i got the square trade 4 year warantee protection and have 3 years left on it. i have really good external hard drive so i can keep sensitive stuff on it instead of the internal hard drive, so in the event i have to send the pc for repair my only worry would be that my passwords such as to my bank account for example are on firefox.LIMPET235 wrote:mike821,
