I woke this morning and without permission and without asking I now have Firefox Quantum.
All my settings are gone all my add ons are gone.
HOW DARE YOU?
FF has just lost a customer forever.

Re: The Last Straw
Actually you're being unfair to Firefox. As this is a major revision of Firefox, advice in other threads in this forum is to do a completely fresh install of Firefox because 57.0 is a major revision. I was breathing fire over this myself but once I got over the shock, uninstalled the newly installed 57.0, deleted my old profile, and then did a complete fresh install of 57.0, I really wasn't that displeased.
Give, Firefox another chance, P38Usul. It is noticeably faster than the older version I had installed. And the folks that produce Addons will no doubt be coding away as we speak to make their offerings 57.x compatible.
P.S. Another moral to your tale is never to allow automatic updates. There is a setting that prevents that and I've always used it.

I just decided it was a learning opportunity. Which changed my perspective on what was going on.
