Facebook on FF?

Post by bbbl67 »

I'm finding Facebook is becoming nearly unusable on FF. I'm not sure if started happening after FF 57, or if it was the same way under the previous iteration of FF? I find that these notifications pop-up right in the middle of you typing something into a text box, etc. Also sometimes the comment box disappears, this has been happening recently.

Anybody know how to fix these issues under FF? I've tried it with Edge, and no problems there so far.

And I'm not seeing any such problems with Facebook under Firefox 58 under Win 10.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

No, I think Facebook has probably screwed something up. I'm seeing some problems under Edge now too. Not the same problems, but similar.

I have 2 laptops that are running vista . On one computer facebook plays the videos in facebook in firefox . On the other laptop It will only play videos in chrome . If I switch to firefox no videos in facebook will play . Why is that and how can I get videos to play that are in facebook when I'm in firefox .

One of the issues was caused by an add-on called Fire Drag, removed that, and FB is acting much nicer now. The remaining issues of notifications coming up in the middle of your screen are still there, but I think that's a FB design issue.
