Pending DNS changes
Apparently there is a plan to enabled DNS-over-HTTPS by default in an upcoming Firefox release. This might be an improvement in security from some perspectives, but not in all cases. Besides choosing users' DNS provider for them instead of letting them choose, this disables any settings in the HOSTS file, which is bypassed when D-o-H is used. Personally, I'd prefer not to use it in the browser but through some sort of local proxy. Then I could still get the benefits of the HOSTS file. Is there some way to configure something like Squid to do encrypted DNS?

Re: Pending DNS changes
I have no idea what's happening with the DNS settings, but mine redirects me to this strange address: 132 Boll Green Dr, Interlachen, FL 32148
I can't seem to fix it. I tried googling it and all I found is that some old dude lives there...
