Recovering an old firefox profile

I have an old profile which I would like to recover. Unfortunately, it is on a USB drive, along with files from the previous Windows installation. From what I've heard, the FF data is generally hidden, and I am not aware of a way to access these files on an external drive.

So, for those more in the know, can this be done at all?

Essentially it's the contents of a previous drive that failed. I'm using Win 10 basic, and was wondering where to look, given it's on USB?

Were you running Firefox Portable from that USB drive or were you lrunning standard Firefox from the old hard drive and the Firefox profile data was copied to the USB for backup purposes?' In either case, it is unlikely that profile location/files would be hidden. See the following:
