[SOLVED] Linux manual install recommends additional packages

Post by ineuw »

I don't allow any update by policy and install the latest FF manually when I am sure that there are no problems. This prevents Mozilla from making unwanted changes to the Preferences. The Linux installation process recommended these additional packages for installation, fonts-lyx and xul-ext-ubufox. May I ask what is the 2nd package for?

It's Ubuntu modifications for Firefox. Pretty sure you don't actually need it on Mint. This is the project homepage
