Remove sync from the preferences panel.
It's the one item in about:config which I failed to copy down.

Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

Re: Old Sync topic but can't find - adjusted new setup
Tried search in a couple of ways including word and my user posts.
Also both Firefox support and General.
What's desired- Remove "Sync" from list in Edit/Preferences/ It was an item in about:config but can't find it, it's something kind of oblique if I remember correctly.
It could have been removed from about:config during one of the recent updates.
After dumping the pref.js file, a suggestion to keep the preference settings from reverting or not holding in the Mint Forums.
Everything recovered and intact except removing sync from the list.
This is relative to the deep files in /usr.lib/firefox which keep changing on a cold or warm boot of the system.

Re: Old Sync topic but can't find - adjusted new setup Solve
Compared about:config sync, menu and other items with no real solution.
Three other systems do not show the sync item in the preferences menu.
With about:config being as large as it is it's easy to miss something.
Used wdiff to compare copies of about:config, no joy.

identity.fxaccounts.enabled, set it to 'false'
Fire 750, bring back 250.
