It seems too big permission "Access your data for all web" if i just need extension to fill the data to the form on the web page.
I have checked like 3 extensions that can input random data to the web form.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefo ... =extension
all need this permission...

What do you get when you click the "Learn More" link in the permission dialog?
I get https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pe ... =inproduct explaining why.
Don't like it don't use the extension.

Yes, i read that, but i expected some feedback regarding this particular case. The permission seems too broad and alarming to me.
btw, does this permission also mean that the extension can send/submit this data (possibly mine filled usernames, passwords, messages) so it can leak and someone else (developer,...) beside me get it?

Would answering that require knowing which specific extension you chose?

Seems to me that most every extension that one installs can see and change one's data and steal one's identity. That's not right. I would hope that user IDs and passwords would be encrypted.WaltS48 wrote:What do you get when you click the "Learn More" link in the permission dialog?
