Screen refresh V90
There's something wrong with screen updating on V90 of FF - if I have multiple FF windows open and close one of them, it appears to still be open until I click on one of the other windows, or windows of other programs running on top of FF don't get erased properly. Is this lack of processing WM_PAINT messages? I've gone back (with difficulty) to 89.0.2. Running on Windows 7 professional 32-bit and same on Windows 7 Home 64-bit. Anybody getting the same problem?

No issue here.
Does the issue happen if you open FF in Safe Mode, then open multiple windows, closing some of them down...?

Hi therube and thanks for your reply. I've just tried your suggestion of starting FF in Safe Mode on my laptop (Windows 7 Home), and everything's behaving nomally. So what's the difference between safe mode and normal mode? There are 2 plugins (OpenH264 Video Codec and Widevine Content decryption Module) - these seem to be still enabled in safe mode, and there are no extensions.

Even stranger...in normal mode, I have 2 FF windows - one is BBC News Homepage, the other is GMail login page. Programs running on top of the BBC page get re-painted correctly, but not when they're running on top of the GMail login page!

It isn't just addons which are disabled in Troubleshoot Mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/di ... shoot-mode

Since Safe Mode works, see if disabling Hardware Acceleration (in FF) gets it working in normal mode?

Re: Screen refresh V90
Hi again, thanks for replies & suggestions - I've tried disabling Hardware Acceleration (and updated to V91.0) - same thing. Doesn't stop me from using FF - just a bit annoying because it never used to happen!?

Then look at your extensions to see if one of them is the cause?
