FF slower than Edge

Post by APoster »

Firefox 102.0.1 on Windows 10

I don't have any numbers, but recently FF (minimal add-ons) internet browsing seems slower than MS Edge. But I prefer FF. My net service is 50mbps down, which is max available on AT&T in my building. I've gone through the FAQ lists. I spend a lot of time looking at spinning wheels, and drumming fingers. Any suggestions to convert oxlike browsing to antelope streaming? Or must I just suck it up, and take-up knitting?

Does the same thing happen if you launch the application in Mozilla Trouble Shooting Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/di ... shoot-mode

Any particular place this ox rears its horns?

Might just be particular pages where other browsers do better.
Fire 750, bring back 250.

:? To really determine which browser is fastest it takes pretty sophisticated equipment. Seat-of-the-pants tests or stop-watch can be misleading.
There are 3rd party businesses that provide test results which should provide a good idea of hares and tortoises.
