set default web search

Post by handy »

Can i change the default websearch in Phoenix 0.4 Linux?, so when i do 'highlight word - right click - web search for word" , it will go to url that i want, not to google.com.

I have tried to put this :

user_pref("browser.search.defaultengine", "engine:///usr/local/phoenix/searchplugins/url.src");

at .phoenix/default/*/pref.js , but it's not work.

And one more question, can the new window from web search appear with no toolbar & menus (only the html page),and with smaller size

Thanks :)

Do you really have a file named "url.src" in your searchplugins dir? Wouldn't that have to be "google.src"?
