Mime Types
Okay, Here's the issue. Downloading from a link that they say to copy and past into your browser, or that usues a php or cgi script to get you to download a file, the window pops up and you see the file in RAW format, and it dosn't ask you to download. Is there a way to find out why type of MIME it's sending you, or, is there a way to make MISCELANIOUS (spelling i know) files that are not listed in the MIME types preferences to automaticaly pop-up with a downlaod. Because i know the netscape mime type finder doesn't work (as i've tried to turn it on), any ideas?

Problems like this is almost always dependent on that the webserver admin doesn't know what he's doing and the servers are thus sending files as default mimetype text/plain.
Send a mail to the server admin and ask him to check his settings.
If you need to know what mimetype is beeing sent to you this link might be of use
