Currently I'm using Outlook Express and clicking link makes Phoenix open a new window. So when I got replynotes from forums, I click the link and a new Phoenix window has opened. I don't like that way very much.
So, it is possible to open links outside Phoenix to a new tab somehow? Like Opera does it?
Is this implemented yet? Or will it be?
Thanks for assistance!

If http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172962 (enhancement request for an option to determine how other applications open new windows) is what you're asking for, then it's targetted for 0.7.

remote option
Use the -remote option. For more information, see the documentation of this command on mozilla.org.

tpr is obviously using Windows... I'm afraid "-remote" needs X to work properly.

Yep, that's what I was finding. Thanks.

this is important for IE compatibility
I just want to put my .02 in for this, since you are trying to get people away from IE, this has been the only glaring IE compatibility issue that remains for me. I made a comment to this effect (and also advocating opening a new tab instead of window) in the bug report http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172962.

In what way does clicking on a link in Outlook (plain or Express) cause IE to open up A NEW TAB????? The way Phoenix does it right now is 100% compatible with IE!

Try download the tabbed browsing extension for Phoenix.

It does not of course open a new tab, but phoenix will always reuse the current tab/window, which is one of the options for IE. IE however provides an option to open a new window for the shortcut. AFAIK, Phoenix does not support this.
