IN IE I can disable the meta refresh in the security section of the properties. Can I disable "Meta Refresh" in Firefox ??

Set this to true: accessibility.blockautorefresh

Thanks but where do I set that?

In a blank tab, enter about:config in the address bar. Then enter accessibility.blockautorefresh in the filter field below the address bar and set it to true via right-click | Toggle.

I only want to disable meta refresh once in a while, is there a easier way to do it rather than doing all that each time and then having to undo it

What steps do you take in IE to disable it?

Internet options, security, custom, then check or uncheck meta refresh.. Now I know that is about the same steps but in IE at least I can brouse through the Internet options to find what I need to do. With Firefox as I understand it I have to open a new tab and enter about:config then accessibility.blockautorefresh and to undo it do the same in reverse. Is there no easier way in Firefox ?

There is no easier way in Firefox. By my count, that is the same number of steps as IE. Fewer if you create a bookmark for about:config.

Thanks Sk,
I made a bookmark of about:config and when it opens accessibility.blockautorefresh is the 2nd one down so it's easy to find and if i just toggle it everything works fine... and it is easier than IE thanks for the bookmark idea..
