Phoenix also should be Ok if it is not an "TM", now, trade mark "Fire bird" belongs to Mozilla.org, that's OK I think, same name doesn't mean they could not exist at the same time.

I supposed it would be Firebird, but hands down I think it's lame. Sorry.

Hurra for Fire Bird and Thunder Bird

Sorry to prefer birds to metal monsters - the next names will be easier to find.
That is not really a surprise.

Happy that the change did not affect the logos ( great birds of fire ) That counts.

Please do not splash my screen.

Great name!
Why would you even consider to use the OS that is older and more obsolete than your computer?
See, that's just one of the reasons why I pick Linux.

I like the new name. Especially since Firebird is more or less equivalent to Phoenix, although I wish they could have kept the old one.

And by the way, there was no American car called the Camino. Calling an El Camino a Camino is like calling a Trams Am an Am. And while Ford made the Thunderbird, Pontiac made the Firebird.

Thunderbird is a shock to me, since at our high school we call ourselves T-Birds (thunderbirds)

I've started thinking of PG tips now

I think I'm going to start calling the browser "f-body."
