Send link to desktop?

Is there a feature currently implemented that allows you to bookmark a page's link to the desktop? The 'Send Link' option in the 'File' menu only creates the link in an email

I can drag the favourites icon onto the Desktop, but I have to un-maximise the browser window which is a bit time consuming. Even if it takes off a few seconds I think it's worth having a feature like this (if there isn't one already)

Here ya go. This extension will put "Create deskCut" on your right-click menu....look towards the bottom of the list.
