XFT2 and GTK2 Support

Post by eYz »

It seems 0.4 supports some GKT2 widgets. Is it going to support XFT2? Or is there already such a build somethere for testing?

Here's the deal - the version of Xft used in Phoenix when enabled is v2... so it is used regardless of whether you are using gtk+ 1.2 or 2.0. --enable-xft

Excuse my ignorance/newbie-ness, but what does that mean? Starting Phoenix with that parameter? (Doesn't seem to make a difference)
Or, is there source somewhere from which we can build an xft enabled version? Thanks!

How do I get the source? What they say in FAQ doesn't help much.

And what is "ragweed", the code name of some different build?

Never mind. I found ragweed too. Very nice! I think I can ditch Opera now.
