Cookies manager, Javascript shell and others

Post by rufiao »

I've just moved to 0.5 and I wonder why Phoenix still doesn't support:

1. A handy javascript shell (as in http://www.squarefree.com/shell/)
2. The [Mozilla] cookie manager
3. Per address configuration (accessible from the toolbar) for popups blocking, images blocking, etc.
4. *Support for blocking plugins (such as flash), in a per-address fashion*
5. The [Mozilla] "view selection source"

That said, I've just made it my default browser, after using both it and mozilla for some time. Great job!

It's there (Tools > Preferences > Privacy), it's just not as useful yet as the one in Mozilla.

3. Per address configuration (accessible from the toolbar) for popups blocking, images blocking, etc.[/quote]
Image blocking is also there, but the same restrictions apply as to the Cookie Manager.

Popup blocking on the other hand is implemented better than in Mozilla imo. Try blocking popups; when a site then tries to open a popup, a little orange icon appears in your status bar. Click on it and you can whitelist the site.
