Audio Capture on Firefox

I recently saw an experimental tool called Mozilla Rainbow
This tool enables the user to capture Video and Audio with HTML5 without Flash.
Sadly I couldn't test this extension because it's not supported in Linux.
I'm very interested in such implementation in Firefox.

Everything I've read says it should support audio recording on Linux. Though I can't test it because it doesn't support x64 yet (and I don't feel like taking the time to get it to build).

So the support is for linux 64bit only? that's odd.. I was under the impression that the vast majority still works on 32bit.

Bluefang's post is saying (IIRC) that Rainbow only has 32-bit components, so it won't work in 64-bit Firefox, while it will in 32-bit Firefox.

It's advertised as having Linux support right there on the page you linked.

As with the 0.3 release, 0.4 will not support streaming or Linux. But we're making steady progress on both fronts, look for more news on that soon!
