Did you try Manage bookmarks > View > "sorting of your choise" ?

BTW no, folders are sorted by name just like on most OSs (except windows)

If you for some strange reason need them to be fist eg add aaa in front of the name and sort via name.

would be nice. i've already gone through the very tedious task of going through the manager (ugh) and dragging everything back into alphabetical order, folders first. the reason i didn't do the "sort by name" was because there are some links that i like at the top, which make them out of order, though every other link is still in abc. you can't do this at all with "sort by name" selected. grrrr.

this was a big big pet peeve of mine when i started using phoenix, and it still is, actually. i mess with my favs all the time, and not being able to move then around and edit them ie style and without going through the manager frustrates me to no end.

i still made phoenix my default, though, even with this (insert cuss word) behavior of the bookmarks. *sigh* i'm shutting up. this really is frustrating to me.

i liek to have my bookmarks have a specific order also (things i use often)

one way around it that ive used.. is to use my bookmark toolbar to put all the links that i visit often (within folders)...

this way i rarely use my bookmarks.. cept to dig out that cool page i had saved...

I've tried that. The bookmarks can be sorted any which way you please inside the manager window, but that has no noticeable effect on how they will be sorted in the pulldown menus.
