Open in new tab BY DEFAULT

Post by fab97 »

Please can you add a new checkbox in Preference to be able to always open a link in a TAB. (and to use ctrl to open in current tab)

I know I can use CTRL to open the link in new tab BUT 99% of time I always open in new TAB (I'm a "TAB-Browse fanatic") And I'm tired to press CTRL keys.

This option just reverse the open mode
nomal mode :
click : open in current tab
ctrl+click : open in new tab
reverse mode :
click : open in new tab
ctrl+click : open in current tab

Note : I use Phoenix 0.5

Thank you for your great Browser I love it !

It does not answer your request, but for me I use the 3 button mouse then the *middle* button opens the link in background in tab.
Check your preferences/advanced/tabbed-browsing (I have all 4 options checked).

You right, thank you...
but I don't get a 3 button mouse.

you can imagine that option also perform the swap <left-click> with <middle-click>.
