start pages
It used to be you could go to options and select a few start pages. Now you can still do that, but you also get a blank 'options" tab every time you load up. Annoying.

Re: start pages
That's not true. Make sure you don't have an unwanted URL listed among your intended tabs at launch. Close all but the sites you want to have available when Firefox launches then use menu path Tools->Options->General->click on "Use current page".

Re: start pages
I've done that, but one of the windows that shows up is "options" where I directed to select current pages. I have even tried to delete the options page from the listings when you select current pages, but it's one of the tabs that still shows up. Used to be you would do this not in a separate window.

Deleting the "|about:preferences" at the end of the Home Page list works for me.

Yeah, Mozilla borked that one.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.
