I installed the add-on called "setupVPN", and so far , it's simple to use, easy to configure, apparently free
No directions anywhere so you need to click around to setting it up.
In my browser the icon is in the top extreme right hand corner

kindly share your opinion
cheers, thnx

I notice two nice VPNs for Firefox - Hoxx and SetupVPN. Both look very similar, as though they are based on the same software, but with different branding and slightly different country lists. Connection has always been very reliable for me and streaming video works well without buffering.

However, what concerns me is that Hoxx log VPN traffic activity (in both free and paid versions):

https://hoxx.com/faqs/ (Please see "Does hoxx save all proxy logs?")

Not sure what the log policy is for SetupVPN - although as it looks very similar to Hoxx the policy might be the same.

ZenMate and Winscribe have a clear no-log policy (so does Opera browser VPN), which is great. However, I feel Hoxx and SetupVPN are more usable than ZenMate and Windscribe.

a bit quick to judge setupVPN, sorry
It's a pain in the rear end experience now
Most regular websites time out error when I try and open them
The solution i found was to disable setupVPN
Then when you want to enable it, you have to sign in again, and the fields don't allow automatic filling
to be fair, I will give it a few more days, then try something else maybe, or continue using trouble free Opera VPN for the occassions I need "anonimity" <smiles>

Yes, I noticed that if I disable and re-enable the extension it asks for log in details again (but not if turning the VPN on/off through its user interface).

Hmm.. I wonder how much anonymity you're going to get using a browser now owned by the Chinese ?
