Need new cookie filter extension [resolved]

Post by lovemyfoxy »

My setup is in my signature.

Cookie Controller has become totally useless, flooding me with dozens of unallowed cookies. I need to switch before the legacy extensions disappear. Or can I just switch to the cookie filter in Options>Privacy? Does that still function?

There are 7 sites where I allow permanent cookies
There are many where I allow only session cookies.
I need something that I don't have to monitor constantly.

legacy extensions dont cant get any further update:
https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2018/08 ... x-add-ons/
On September 6, 2018, submissions for new legacy add-on versions will be disabled. All legacy add-on versions will be disabled in early October, 2018. Once this happens, users will no longer be able to find your extension on AMO.
CC is over a year old, seems to be abandoned from author, and the complaints are growing:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addo ... ontroller/

i can suggest uMatrix with filtering cookies only. or try any cookie management as "cookie autodelete" or similar.

I don't need any extension updating because I'm staying with 52ESR.
Umatrix won't run on 52. I need a recommendation from someone running 52ESR.
I'm trying CookieBro, but I'm not sure how to distinguish permanent cookies from session cookies.

I've been aware of the warning, but the legacy extensions are still there at the moment.

I want to post for posterity that CookieBro works well and is easy to use.
