Add Firefox Developer Edition to Debian repos or PPA

Post by trymeout »

I know arch users can get the latest release of Firefox Developers Edition with the AUR. Please add the Developer Edition to the Debian repos or have a PPA and keep it up top date so people can get the latest release of the developer edition within most Debian/Ubuntu distros.

Mozilla has their hands full enough as is to be building even more builds on multiple channels. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

They do have snap builds ex: http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/ ... .0.2/snap/

Also should be obvious enough that mozillaZine is not a part of nor run by Mozilla.org http://www.mozillazine.org/about/

Don't the Debian maintainers modify Firefox builds and add them to the repository?

I know Ubuntu does. I think it was today that I got the update to Firefox 69.0.2. Mozilla has no connection to Linux distribution builds AFAIK.

I installed the Beta and Nightly versions long ago (11 years?) from a link similar to the one James posted, and have been updating the versions as soon as Mozilla releases them.
