FireFox CRASHES ALL THE TIME

ok i got it to fix, i removed any color, for the second time, and it has seized crashing.

No it has started crashing again it is firefox not an add-on.

Type about:crashes in the address bar and copy a couple of the reports links.

Also, what is your anti-virus and Firewall.

Hi all,

I'm also having troubles with FireFox:
Quite often it crashes and once the error is accepted after submit the crash report it restarts asking to open again the previous pages that were opened before the crash.

My antivirus and firewall is ESET Smart Security.

nope, but the crash you linked too is inside the Adobe Flash plugins. Try with a new profile (without deleting the current one).

Yep. I have the same thing. It worked real well when I first started using it. Then they had to constantly make "improvements", and I had to take them like a man, whether I wanted them or not. Now it locks up at least three time a day and usually much more. I guess the people who make these things always want to tinker with them. I suppose they get bored....

You have one post and are using a very old version of Firefox (2.0.0.20). Update to the new version and if you still have problems start a NEW thread. We most likely can solve them.

Firefox 3.5.5 is crashing a lot when I use the site http://www.tagged.com and visit a home page with more than one or two widgets on it!! It is verry frustrating!!!

I dunno if this helps, but when FF starts to hang it is using like, 800,000K when all the other programs are using under 100,000K.

To all posting here... lots of crashing complaints but only some posters have indicated whether they've tried the basics in problem resolution and that is...

Plus, Make sure that your "plugins" are up to date.

AND, only one person has taken the time to post the crash report "link" and that link would help in identifying the cause.

Opinion... Other than that it just seems like some people just want to post complaints without doing any work to resolve them or give feed-back.

Df--I've haven't had a crash lately, but for the future--what happens when you make a crash report? Does it get read somewhere?

Welllll, if you system is working properly for sending the reports they end up at Mozilla but as with any company there has to be people (and time) to review stuff... or maybe some type of software is used to research crash reports and gather like-data and summarize it?? Don't know for sure and I suppose there are people here that know a lot about what happens to the crash results.

They mostly watch for trends as I understand it. For example, this is the current top crasher for Firefox 3.6ax http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/l ... %400x210f0 . That is causing enough problems with window machines that I suspect that it is being looked into.

Also, if you report a bug and include that report it will be read.
