Using a fresh build of phoenix (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021105 Phoenix/0.4) from FreeBSD ports.

I noticed that all fonts (Serif, Sans Serif, Mono ...) were mapped to 'Andale Mono'

I changed them to (is it important?):
Serif: Georgia
Sans Serif: Trebuchet MS
Mono: Andale Mono

After clicking on 'OK' phoenix crashed.

I have Microsoft TrueType webfonts installed, FreeType 2, gdkxft, and perhaps some other things that I quite don't remember now. Basically to be able to see antialiased TT fonts.

I don't know if the crash is font-related or is just a problem with the dialog. I just provided all information I could.

I don't think you can use anti-aliased fonts with phoenix builds.. (only special --enable-xft ones).. or maybe they just won't be anti-aliased, I don't know..

Yes you can see fonts anti-aliased ...

Actually I guess that mozilla-devel (1.2b) can render anti-aliased TT fonts (it uses Xft) but Mozilla-1.1 can't.

Phoenix-0.4 is based on mozilla-devel AFAIK.

only if you build with --enable-xft
builds found at ftp.mozilla.org are not built with this option.. check out http://phoenix.ragweed.net/download for xft build (but it didn't work on my machine)

I just crashed 0.4release by changing to Tahoma as well, on a Win98SE machine. Weird.
