Type ahead timing oddities

I really like the type-ahead feature so nice not to have to bring up a dialog box to search for things.

One thing I have found (at least noticed in the past day or so) is that I have to type at specific rate for the type-ahead to accept all my keystrokes. If I type too fast, then it drops the first few. If I type too slow, then it times out. I can understand the too slow, but typing too fast?

Anyone else notice this?

I do some Java coding and found the weird type-ahead timing problem at:

When you get there, just type "system" reasonably quickly and the type-ahead gets all messed up.

Maybe it is to do with the frames? Don't know...
